Our Boys
Making a tragic story into a compelling poster.
The story told in HBO’s “Our Boys” is set in the summer of 2014, and is based on the true events which led to the outbreak of war in Gaza. This concept in addition to constraints of not wanting to show one side of the conflict in the wrong or right, or cast’s faces, led to an overhead shot of a kidnap scene as the center of the artwork. The original shot I took in my driveway with friends as models, and when it came time to update the photography I’m the center figure being kidnapped. This was a challenging project that I’m so proud to have created.
